Juniper: Cloud Software Awareness Campaign

An integrated campaign that charts a course beyond the stars

Juniper provides the network technology that supports the world’s biggest and busiest wired and wireless carriers, content and Internet service providers, cloud and data center providers, and cable and satellite operators.

Juniper’s cloud software suite challenges its customers to ask “What if?” What if they had the tools to match their ambitions? What would their businesses be like if the potential for growth and opportunity was boundless? The Outer Limits campaign accepted the mission to craft this challenge into a multi-channel story leveraging an automated marketing system that responded and evolved to incoming data across the experience spectrum. Every touch-point was infused with thematic significance: “meet-ups” moved from coffee shops to planetariums, Conferences moved to locations with cosmic significance, etc.

 

A key goal for the campaign was to increase engagement with the application “test environment” so we overlaid the system with a game called “The Planet Sanction”. Activity within the environment drove the game narrative and advanced the goals of the characters. The game was not only embedded within landing page but also messaged through Tamagatchi-like plushies given away as prizes and incentives.
